Wir haben uns die Show von IRENE LUFT gegeben und uns sehr auf diese eigenwillige Kreationen gefreut. Und siehe da; sie setzt immer wieder neue Ideen um, um unsere Frauenwelt sexy-elegant aussehen zu lassen.

THE COLLECTION

This season’s collection can be summarized as a meeting between fluency and strong accents. Handmade flower applications, detailed embroideries and frills give each dress a character of its own and are in homage to the liveliness of summer and the bloom of everyday life.

Known for contrasts the designer chooses light and flowy materials like chiffon as well as contrasting heavier materials like brocade. This vulnerability is seen in the use of crinoline together with dark crepe.

The designer also plays with flower interpretations of purity, innocent fondness and the fascination of decay using handcrafted and embroidered lilies and other flowers.

The color spectrum is wide and inspired by the shades of summer seen in the cycle of nature and the gleaming golden sunlight. The artisanal character of the brand is emphasized by the hundreds of hours of handcraft put into every single outfit presented. Many small pieces come together to create a beautiful ensemble. The silhouette is a play of feminine and masculine with flowing movement and a variance of strong lines and angular details.

The collection is a spectacle of nature.

Irene Luft zur @mbfw.berlin Summer 2019.

Die 42-jährige hat mittlerweile ein eigenes Atelier und Mitarbeiter. Ihre aufwendig gefertigten Kleider betitelt sie selbst als progressiv und exclusiv. Die Präsentation auf der Fashion Werk im E-Werk erhält jedes Mal großen Anklang. Ein Fan der Designerin: „Der Name LUFT trifft es eigentlich sehr schön, denn oft kommen ihre Anfertigungen genauso daher – viel Durchsichtigkeit trifft auf verdammt detailreichen Stil mit einem osteuropäischem Touch, wie bei Liz Malraux. Ich mag das sehr gerne…“

Irene Luft ist ein in München ansässiges Luxus-Prêt-à-Porter-Haus, das 2009 gegründet wurde. Es steht für ein außergewöhnliches Design, aber nicht weniger für die Liebe zu der Handwerkskunst, die von jedem einzelnen Design zelebriert wird. Der moderne und doch schwer fassbare feminine und romantische Stil mit einem Hauch von Fortschrittlichkeit ist die Signatur der Marke.

Jedes verkaufte Stück von Irene Luft wird in einem eigenen Atelier gefertigt, das Teil des verwobenen Konzepts des Münchner Flagship-Stores ist, in dem das Geschäft und die Ateliers zusammengeführt werden. Um auch in Zukunft in eigenen Ateliers produzieren und das Handwerk stärken zu können, setzt das Haus Irene Luft große Anstrengungen ein, um die zukünftige Schneider- und Schneidermeistergeneration auszubilden.

Irenes Leben ist eine Hommage an die Mode. In der Sowjetunion als Tochter eines Schneidermeisters geboren und aufgewachsen, folgte sie den Spuren ihrer Mutter und absolvierte ihre Ausbildung zur Couture-Handwerkerin. Sie schloss ihr Studium an der renommierten Deutschen Meisterschule für Mode und später an der Akademie für Mode & Design in München mit Auszeichnung ab.

Irene Luft macht ihrem Namen ab und an echt alle Ehre, denn die Models haben teilweise fast, oder sowas, wie ein Hauch von Nichts an, wenn sie über den Laufteppich schweben. Das ist das Konzept und schon ein kleines Markenzeichen.

Ein Model läuft Runway auf der MbfwBerlin für Irene Luft.

Ihre Show im E-Werk war darum auch dieses Mal wieder sehr erotisch angehaucht. Mittlerweile ist dieser MB-Slot so gut besucht, dass es kaum möglich ist, an Tickets zu kommen. Alle wollen diesen Mix-Look und die schicken Models sehen. Diese Show, die wie in Eile und viel zu schnell vorüberflog, hat allen sehr gut gefallen. Diese Auswahl aus sehr knapp gehaltenen Stoffen, der von ausdrucksstarken Gesichtern, mit weißen Kontaktlinsen noch verstärkt wird, macht unverkennbar und interessant.

Viel Luft, weiße Kontaktlinsen – sexy erotisch war die Schow von Irene Luft.

Boris Endtrup und Rolfe Scheider scheinen große Fans der Designerin zu sein. Denn die wurden beide in der ersten Reihe des Catwalks gesichtet, sowie einige andere Top-Models auch…

Alles zur Kollektion Dark city

This season’s collection can be summarized under the topic DARK CITY. The designer is inspired by architecture and geometric patterns seen in the city such as reflections and lights on the streets. Handmade flower applications,embroideries and flowing fringes give each dress a story of its own and arean homage to the silent movements and beauty that can be found in city by night.

The designer chooses heavy materials like brocade to portray the structure of the streets. The color spectrum is inspired by the contrasts of dark surroundings, golden city lights, the night blue sky and red traffic lights. The artisanal character of the brand is emphasized by the hundreds of hours of handcraft put into the single outfits presented. The silhouette stays feminine and romantic with a touch of gloominess.

Each Irene Luft piece sold is crafted in its own atelier which is part of the interwoven concept of its Munich flagship store which combines the store and the ateliers. To be able to produce also in future in its own ateliers and fortify the craftsmanship the House of Irene Luft dedicates large efforts to train the future generation of tailors and master tailors.

Irene’s life is an homage to fashion. As daughter of a master tailor, she followed her mother’s footsteps and graduated with distinction from the renowned German Master Craftsmen School for Fashion and the Akademie für Mode & Design. While working for internationally renowned brands, Irene Luft founded her own eponymous label.
